Congradulations Cinderella

Cinderella is now with her partner! She finished team training on June 17th! I did get to see her twice during team training and was being such a well behaved dog for her partner. I am very proud of Cinderella and can't wait to hear stories of her new life from her partner.

Things have been so busy. We just had Cinder home for the holidays which was really nice. Just before the holidays she participated in meet the dogs. I was told they believe they found her a partner. I can't wait know more. I am so excited for Cinder, but I also miss her. As I understand she is having a difficult time in the kennels, so she now goes home with someone every night. You may remeber me saying that she has a "binkie" that she sucks on, well she now has a special one for when she is in the kennels.

We did have a little scare with Cinder having the same spinal issue as her brothers. One weekend when she was home I noticed a lump on her back foot and brought it to the trainers attention. A few days later they noticed Cinder having a difficult time walking up some stairs. SSD decided to send her for a CAT scan to be sure nothing was wrong. Thankfully she came back with a clean bill of health. I was very happy.

I am actually going to get her tonight. Some of the dogs are going to the kennels for their 12 month evaluations, which means a 3 day weekend for Cinderella. I love having her home. She wears Mr. Graham out.

Cinderella's Training has begun

It has been way to long since I updated.

First Cinder is now at the kennels for Advanced Training. She went back at the end of October. She was suppose to go October 12 but she decided that she wanted to stay longer and went into heat (finally) while I was on vacation.

SSD has decided not to use her as a breeder due to some medical problems that two of her brothers are dealing with. So we heard that she might be a balance dog. So I am excited for her.

I also learned that she is having some kennel strees. This week has been perticularly bad, I hope she will get better.

Since the advanced dogs go home on weekends, I see Cinder every other weekend since we live 2 hours away. Its so nice to get her home. She is greatly missed, especially at night my feet now freeze without her warming them.

Here is a video of her life with me.

Private Pool Party

Since we live 2 hours away from SSD we could not make yesterdays swim party. We had one here today instead. Cinder loves the pool. It is only a little kiddie pool but Cinder does not care. She was diving into it, running circles in the pool, and jumping in after the ball. Here is video of her diving in for the ball:

We got Cinder back from the kennels! To me she seemed stressed, acted very much like a mommy's girl. Glad to have her home for a while longer. She had a surprise when she got home! It was a new puppy! He is SSD Graham Cracker! Yes a male and he is yellow. Now I can make a big oreo cookie with my three dogs! This is a picture of Cinder meeting him!
After only about a minute or two of saying hello, Cinder than crashed! I swear she did not move from this spot all night!
I also recieved her evaluation from the trainers. It basically said every thing I knew about her already, Such as she is high energy, very food motivated, has problems with counter surfing. The only thing I am confused on is they said she is a little bit harness sensitive! I really don't know how she is or the signs that would show this. Oh and they loved her heel! Otherwise they are looking at her for a breeder! So all in all it was a good evaluation! Unfortunatly we only have another 2 to 4 months with her.

Tomorrow Cinder goes to the kennels for her 12 month evaluation. I am kind of nervous for her. I am sure she will do fine. While Cinder is at the kennels I will be bringing home a new puppy to train for SSD. I am very excited. I do not know much about the puppy except that it most likely will be a yellow lab. Cinder will have a new play mate since my other lab is older and not it to playing.

We are very excited.

Hi everyone!! Sorry it has been almost a month but we have been very busy.

First off we went camping at the beginning of the month. Cinder was excellent. Unfortunatly I forgot my camera, so no camping pictures. We took her fishing and to the PA Grand Canyon. Cinder was not to interested in fishing but loved the Grand Canyon, what an incredible view.

Then we went to the mall on night. We do that a lot so it was nothing special.

We went to the Bark for Life relay in Bloomsburg and got to see Cinders sister Kiara. She is the only yellow lab out of the litter. She is bigger than me, see:

We had our Intermediate 2 Evaluation last week and did very well. We have to work on some leave its with food on the floor.

Tonight I had Cinder working on her down stays from a distance. We got up to 30 ft. She did not stay too long but it was hard because the other dog was doing it too! Not that he was suppose to be he just knew she was getting treats and was wanting them too! Here are some pictures:
